The physics is not for the woman? The women have participated in major scientific discoveries, they won Nobel Prizes, they are the supervisors of large Research Laboratories and important experiments... Yet the prejudice on the poor attitude of women towards the Physics and, more generally, to the scientific disciplines still exists. But is this true? A meeting/debate, opens to high school students, with five women researchers that working in different fields of physics in Catania, from astrophysics to nuclear and particle physics, from the physical structure to the material applied, to discuss about their experience in locally and internationally and try to dispel the myth that Physics can not be articulated in a simple way also for women. |
